The teddy jacket is an icon of American campuses. And although we follow the English curriculum, I have always had a soft spot for the classic American varsity teddy.
Union School now has its own. Thank you, Diane de Gourcuff.
Made of grey flannel, with pockets outlined in a slightly darker shade of grey, it is lined with fleece for warmth and comfort. It features all the elements of Union School’s heraldry and colours : the crest on the left sleeve, the red embroidered stars and book over the heart, and the name of your children’s school to be worn proudly across the back. Inside, a lovely label allows each child to write their name.
This teddy is not worn lightly. It asks those who wear it to live up to their role as ambassadors.
