This is a partnership that gives you a boost! Because sport is both a wonderful educational tool and an official supplier of positive energy, Union School has teamed up with the Energy Kids Academy for an incomparable experience.
Union School Academy
Every Wednesday, an anthology of activities to have fun and exercise
As a bilingual School of Excellence, Union School Paris’ priority is to offer children as many experiences as possible. Stimulating, socialising, structuring, exhilarating, it is through these experiences that their incredible cognitive abilities will be multiplied, opening up a multitude of opportunities.
This is why we have designed the Union School Academy: a Wednesday afternoon club that offers children the opportunity to learn while having fun. The workshops offered have been developed with partners who are specialists in early childhood, chosen for their professionalism and caring. Their programme is perfectly in line with the school’s educational philosophy.
Perfectly supervised, the children give free rein to their creativity, unleash their energy, and set out to conquer their multiple talents.
List of activities offered to students during the school year
Learn about engineering, understand mechanics, discover architecture in a very playful way? Building has never been so much fun. Play-Well workshops use the magic of LEGO® bricks to play with scientific and technical concepts. Bricks, plates, beams, gears, pulleys, motors, technical parts, gears: so many tools to stimulate the creativity of the youngest (and in English).
It’s never too early to discover the virtues of rugby. Fair play, team spirit, agility, balance, self-confidence, good humour… And lots of energy!
Straight from the UK, RugbyTots‘ introduction to the oval ball is coming to Union School. Its method is perfectly adapted to the youngest children and allows them to evolve gently in the game with the only motto ‘Make it more fun’.
Chess is the king of all games with a very ancient tradition spanning over a millennium and a half – a rich history of world class players and the accumulated wisdom their games contain.
In this chess course, we will explore the many intricacies of this game of Kings, and seek to walk along the path that leads to chess mastery.
Computer language and musical language have a lot in common. In fact, electronic music developed in the 20th century alongside computer systems.
This Fun Tech Adventures workshop aims to give children the means to compose electronic music using several systems, including Scratch and Makey makey. This workshop does not require any pre-requisites in coding or music, just a desire to create your own melodies.
Using the well-known game Minecraft, children will discover the keys to the Python language. This Fun Tech Adventures workshop is aimed at children who already have some knowledge of algorithms and are interested in alphanumeric programming.
Children will learn the first elements of syntax, the use of loops and conditions, and start to familiarise themselves with variables and function libraries.
Follow the adventures of Hayo the robot and learn how computers work, create algorithms, programme a robot, code in binary, and all this without using any screen.
How does it work? You read, imagine, draw, and manipulate the concepts with the help of an English speaker. Let’s do this with Colori and Union School!
