Bilingual Nursery School Teaching Assistant

Union School is currently seeking passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to join our bilingual nursery school Union School Paris. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, be an English native speaker and able to speak some French.

We would wish for our teaching assistant to possess a strong desire to help children learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.

  • Support children in their daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and naptime.

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all children.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure continuity and progress in children’s learning and development.

  • Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment.

Requirements

  • English speaker able to speak some French.

  • A minimum of one year of experience working with young children in a nursery school setting.

  • A relevant degree or qualification in early childhood education or a related field is desirable but not essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning

  • An ability to work collaboratively with others and excellent organisational skills.

  • A capacity to work in a rapidly evolving environment.
