SEN & Academic Support Maternity Cover
Union School is currently seeking a passionate and experienced SEN support teacher to cover for a Maternity leave.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school’s SEND policy.
Support the identification of children with special educational needs.
Maintain an up-to-date SEND register.
Prepare, in conjunction with class teachers, IEPs for children with SEND.
Co-ordinate provision for children with SEND.
Liaise with parents of children with SEND.
In conjunction with the class teachers oversee, organise & schedule EAL & FLE sessions.
Collaborate with specialist teachers to enhance the curriculum and learning experience of children.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive bilingual curriculum.
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
Assess children’s learning and development, and provide regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, colleagues,
and the wider community.
Requirements
A teaching qualification.
Experience of supporting children with SEN.
Native speaker with the ability to communicate both English & French.
A minimum of two years teaching experience.
A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
